Manifolds are topological concepts that allow comprehension of multidimensional space. In modern mathematical physics, manifolds arise as solutions sets of systems of equations to depict a multidimensional object in euclidean space.
The artistic research reverses the mathematical method. Manifolds grow as an intuitively driven computer-aided gesture of spiral-like twists and folds of geometry 3d printed in sandstone, creating non-euclidean forms to understand and organize empty space, light and volume.
